The Mars Volta have reportedly split with drummer Jon Theodore ahead of the release of their new album.
Theodore took part in the recording of ‘Amputechture’ but is set to be replaced by Blake Fleming of Laddio Bolocko and Dazzling Killmen.
According to punkbands.com Pablo Hinjos-Gonzalez is also set to take on a wider role within the band contributing both guitars and his sound manipulation skills.
The Mars Volta release ‘Amputechture’ on September 12.
