Kelis has roped in the help of Gnarls Barkley frontman Cee-Lo and Will.I.Am from the Black Eyed Peas for her new long-player.
Both artists appear on the bumper 17 track album ‘Kelis Was Here’, released in September.
The legendary Dr Dre and Damian Elliot help out on production on some of the tracks.
The album is preceded by the typically vitriolic single ‘Bossy’ on August 28.
In the song Harlem songstress rants: “I'm the bitch y'all love to hate /I'm the chick that's raised the stakes /I told young stunna he should switch the bass /I'm back with an 808 cause I’m bossy.”
We'll consider ourselves told.
