Dogs Die In Hot Cars guitarist Gary Smith nearly added credence to the bands terrible name on Sunday (May 30), when he was knocked down by a car, though he is not a dog, nor was the car hot.
Smith was hit bay a car travelling in the wrong direction on Great Western Road in Glasgow according to onlookers. He was thrown onto the bonnet of the car, missing the ladders that were fastened to the roof, before smashing the windscreen.
Smith was then taken to hospital were he was diagnosed with a sprained ankle, and given the OK to take part in the Middlesbrough Music Festival which took place the next day, reports NME.
The band, who released ‘Godhopping’ earlier in the year, are prone to injury with singer Craig Macintosh being electrocuted on stage in The Cotton Club in Dundee last year in July.
