Paolo Nutini 'Overwhelmed' To Support The Rolling Stones

Paolo Nutini says that he was overwhelmed to have supported The Rolling Stones in Europe recently.

The 19-year-old, who charted at number 3 this week with his debut album ‘These Streets’, says the show went so well he has been asked to support the wrinkly rockers again in Sheffield.

Reflecting on the Germany support slots to Gigwise, Nutini said: “It was overwhelming to say the least.

“I was trying not to think about it too much before I got there. Then when I got there it suddenly kicked in. There were a lot of people there, a lot of die hard stones fans, that had paid hundreds of euros for a ticket and we were holding them up.

“But for people that hadn’t heard us they were getting into it. They weren’t going absolutely crazy but they were enjoying it so what more could I ask. We’ve been given another show with the guys in Sheffield so I’m looking forward to that…what a steal!”

    • Hey Paolo, your spot with the Stones wasn’t bad at all. We enjoyed your spot. Best of luck on the album, you should invite Keith Richards to sing Autumn - what a great track, one of many on the Album.

    • Harrowing performance from the kid, absolutely slaughtered the Stones performance with some awful notes. Completely out of his depth... this performance can be downloaded on the net if you want to see him making a complete twit of himself. Jagger wasn’t far off when he said after the performance that ’the kid struggled’.
