Although not quite edgy enough to replace the gaping hole that the Test Icicles left, Foreign Islands have managed to pull off a pretty damn good debut single, with enough kooky, funky guitar riffs to keep the tight-jeaned brigade amused for a fair while. ‘Fine Dining’ should be a hit, partially due to the current wave of trendy, punk-inspired indie-rock that’s taking over the music scene, but also because it’s a straight-up catchy tune that you cannot help but shake your ass to. B side, ‘Numbers Game’, gives us more of the same with distorted, Klaxons-esque vocals. Get it while it’s hot kids.
