Mogwai and Goldfrapp For 'Miami Vice' Soundtrack

Mogwai and Goldfrapp are amongst the acts contributing songs to the ‘Miami Vice’ movie.

The Scottish post rockers are donating the ‘Mr Beast’ tracks ‘Auto Rock’ and ‘We’re No Here’ to the soundtrack. Nina Simone is another artists whose songs will appear in the movie, reports the NME.

It’s not the first time Mogwai have had a flirtation with the silver screen. The Glaswegians have also written the soundtrack for ‘Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait’ celebrating the famous footballer.

The film gets its debut screening at the Edinburgh Film Festival this August. A CD release is planned a short time after the film.

‘Miami Vice’ stars Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell and will hit the screens later in the year.
