Joseph Arthur Readies New Album For September Release

Joseph Arthur will return with a new album this autumn, the first to be released on his own label Lonely Astronaut.

Arthur will release his fifth album ‘Nuclear Dream’ on September 18 on his new home which is an imprint of Red/Sony.

The new record developed from studio sessions in Los Angeles and Berlin with the intial idea of releasing two separate records.

Speaking about the follow up to 2005’s ‘Our Shadows Will Remain’ Arthur told Billboard: "I didn't keep everything in its own section. I opened it up and started assembling records based more on other factors than where they were made and when. Things opened up quite a bit creatively after that."

"I wanted the first release on the label to be sort of more stripped down, but also song-oriented and straightforward.”

The record will also feature appearances from Twilight Singers man Greg Dulli and multi-instrumentalist Mathias Schneeberger.
