Former Test Icicles guitarist Rory Aggwelt has laughed off Kasabian’s insults saying they are honoured at the put-downs.
As previously reported Kasabian made a laughable attempt at slagging off Test Icicles in this week’s NME calling the now defunct trio “King’s Cross rent boys”.
Posting on myspace in response Aggwelt wrote: “I'd like to be offended but it doesn't really make any sense, it's pretty damn funny though!”
Speaking about the whole article in which Kasabian also hit out at Bloc Party and Pete Doherty he added: “Ours is definately the funniest put-down, we're so honoured...”
With tongue firmly in cheek Aggwelt also launched his own attack on Kasabian, saying: “I guess that's what you get when you ask people with limited intelligence daft questions.”
“It's a shame, the singers Liam Gallagher impersonations would be so much better if he was actually northern! Kasabian, great band, keep up the good work boys!”
Test Icicles win by TKO.
