The Rapture have revealed the first details of their highly anticipated new album, the follow up to 2003’s ‘Echoes’.
Entitled ‘Pieces Of The People We Love’ it will hit the shops via Vertigo on September 4 and will be preceded by the single ‘Get Myself Into It’ on August 21.
Other tracks set to appear in the 50 minutes of the album include ‘The Devil’ and ‘W.A.Y.U.H.’ which stands for ‘Woo, All Right, Yeah, Uh Huh’.
Speaking to Pitchfork about the new material compared to their previous effort Vito Roccoforte said: The last album was an eclectic record. I think this one is a little tighter. With ‘Echoes’, we really stretched out a lot and tried a bunch of different things.”
“I think on this one, we didn't limit ourselves, but we were able to take a lot of different influences and ideas and just tighten them up and, I feel, execute them a little better."
The album’s production was shared between the trio of Danger Mouse, Paul Epworth and Ewan Pearson.
Roccoforte added: "The producers are all really talented people. They were able to see things in it that you might not see. They were good filters for all the songs.”
The quartet are planning to tour the album throughout Autumn though no dates have been confirmed as of yet.
