DMX eventually showed up in court yesterday (June 29) and was put behind bars by the judge in New York who issued a warrant for his arrest.
The much troubled rapper had failed to show up in court yesterday morning forcing Judge Barbara Leak to issue the warrant.
The 35 year old – real name Earl Simmons – is being held on $25,000 and was detained at 2.30pm, according to court clerk Natasha Lee.
DMX’s lawyer Stacy Richman tried to claim the rapper was ill, but Judge Leak who had granted two previous postponements for his arrest ignored the plea.
The court appearance was related to a string of related driving offences, including dangerous driving on June 2 and a crash on June 11.
