As we told a few weeks back Akron/Family have been working on a new album and now we have more details of it for you to peruse.
The new long player entitled ‘Meek Warrior’, it had had the working title of ‘Akron/Family Is Empty’, will feature seven tracks and will hit the shops on October 3 via Young God.
As Seth Olinsky has already revealed and Gigwise reported the songs were written by the band in the back of their tour van prior to studio time in Chicago.
The album was produced by the band themselves with the help of Michael Gira and engineered by Griffin Rodriguez.
It was recorded at Shape Shoppe in Chicago and in Toronto where the session included the appearance of Broken Social Scene and Do Make Say Think.
The track listing is:
Blessing Force
Gone Beyond
Meek Warrior
No Space In This Realm
