The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne has slammed Richard Ashcroft saying the singer is a ‘pompous dick.’
Coyne was left seething after Dickie pulled out of recording with The Flaming Lips on Top of the Pops at the very last minute.
As Yahoo news quotes, he blasted: “Richard is a pompous dick from my experience.
“We were supposed to record Top of the Pops with him, but he cancelled last minute. Perhaps he sensed a punch up backstage.”

Ah Michael24 you’re so right. The Flaming Lips are of course pure shite! I mean the way the continually reinvent themselves with every album but still manage to make each one better than you could possibly imagine is a real let down! I personally wish that every band or singer would stick to the same boring sound throughout their entire career and your right the Lips don’t deserve to be on the same stage as him, they should be headlining the main stage whilst Ashcroft plays covers do
well, you know, that Richard is manic depressive, so i.e. he gets his ups & lows. Where’s your compassion, man? it’s some kind of conspiracy... the arrest and now this ratbag tellin us rubish... you’re gonna destroy my Richard, who’s actually the last pure person in this world!!!
