The Wombats come on with so much youthful vim and vigour it’s hard not to like them, it’s even easier to love them. ‘Lost In The Post’ is not original, it’s a poppy rock song with jangly guitars, a bouncing bassline and sweet harmonious vocals but that doesn’t matter such is the joy it brings to the listener. The Wombats magic lies in the fact that it induces happiness. It should be played in grave yards and hospitals throughout the land, it’s that damn fun! B-Side ‘Patricia The Stripper’ is another sun drenched ram shackle pop affair that would have most bands fighting each other to claim as their A-Side. The British Spinto Band anyone?
