Top music producer Dallas Austin is facing a possible death penalty after being arrested on drugs charges in Dubai.
The producer – who has worked with a host of stars including Michael Jackson, Madonna, No Doubt, TLC, Aretha Franklin and Boyz II Men – was on his way to supermodel’s Naomi Campbell’s three day birthday party at the exclusive Burj Al Arab hotel when he was arrested for allegedly transporting drugs.
The member state of the United Arab Emirates is known for its strict policy against any drugs, with a life or death sentence often being metered out as punishment.
A representative for Campbell told the New York Daily News, “Naomi doesn't know anything about this.”
