The worst thing about this single is that it’s actually really fucking decent. Oh yes as much as everybody wants to see the megalomaniacal twat get his head caved in by a bunch of rogue pandas in Patti Smith t-shirts, you have to respect the fact he can put together a decent tune, even if this one is a complete rip off of Television’s 'Marquee Moon'. Putting heads together with drummer Andy Burrows seems to have paid off as they have created a nice little ditty that will have all his twelve year old fans foaming at the mouth. Although it doesn’t sound like classic Razorlight, it hints at a more mature Borrell (his influences having jumped from 1975 to 1977) content to let someone else share the pressure of a followup album. Definitely a catchy single that will impress the new wave spray-on jeans generation.
