The Automatic To Appear On TV Drunk

The Automatic have hinted they’ll perform drunk on Channel 4 in protest at being forced to mime through their performance.

The Welsh rockers are appearing on T4’s On The Beach event in Weston-Super-Mare on 18 June, but are upset they’ve been told they won’t be able to play live – so have promised to put on a “festival performance” to compensate.

Singer Rob Hawkins tells the Daily Star, “I didn't want to mime but it's meant to be a festival so we will definitely be putting on a festival performance.

"Will we go on drunk? Let's just say there will be some interesting dancing going on as we aren't allowed to plug in our instruments."

im mates with the band and i think its shocking that they have to mind. they r a great band live and i think that it is a huge shame that they have to suffer because other bands think that they r too gud to sing live or is it that they jst cant!!! come on the boys take the piss
