The first-ever Soundstation Festival was a rip-roaring success.
The May 28 music extravaganza at Birmingham’s Eastside Park boasted some of indie music’s hottest new acts in the shape of Gullemots and Boy Kill Boy.
Stalwart Graham Coxon and the chart smashing Orson topped the bill, while the likes of Mr Scruff, Kenny Dope and Bugs in the Attic also impressed with their DJ sets.
Event Director Mick Morgan said: “The crowd were fantastic, and the atmosphere in both the B-Live Arena and the Live Stage was electric all day long.
“The sheer excitement and enthusiasm from the crowd ensured that everyone enjoyed their day.
“The final count on the day saw just over 5,000 people come through the gate, which we were absolutely delighted with.
“It’s hard to gauge how people will react to a brand new event, but it’s seems like something that Birmingham music fans have taken to their hearts.â€
