Festival-goers attending the Isle of Wight festival have got the chance to watch England’s World Cup opener against Paraguay on Saturday.
Newport Football Club, who are based near the festival site, are erecting a huge screen at their ground for fans who have to pay a £1 donation.
Some football fans attending the festival were left outraged when organisers announced they would not be screening the game "because it's a festival of music.”
Organiser John Giddings said: "Are they showing our festival at the World Cup?"
An online petition was even set up urging the 60,000 revellers attending the music extravaganza to urge organiser to show the 2pm game.
The Festival did show England’s opening Euro 2004 game against France, but some said it soured the atmosphere when the team lost.
