Avenged Sevenfold - 'Burn It Down' (WEA) Released 12/06/06

Cheesy hard rockers Avenged Sevenfold may be favourites with the disaffected youth, but their power riffs and aggressive drumming can’t hide the fact that singer, M.Shadows has the whiniest voice known to man. ‘Burn It Down’ all trolls along nicely until it reaches the chorus, when he suddenly starts singing out of his nose. The music is tight and full of some epic solos and harmonies Queen would be proud of. No doubt this will go down well with Radio 1s Mike Davies and other fans of ska-tinged hyper metal, but the cheese factor will just be too high for everyone else.
