Elton John and David Gilmour Big Winners At Mojo Awards

Elton John and David Gilmour walked away with top honours at the Mojo awards in London last night (June 5).

Gilmour received the Lifetime Acheivement Award while Elton John was inducted into the magazine’s Hall of Fame.

Receiving the award from Jon Bon Jovi, Elton said he was privileged  to be picking up the award from someone as young and talented as Jovi. Right.

Other winners on the night were Corinne Bailey Rae, The Flaming Lips and Johnny Cash.

Mojo editor-in-chief Phil Alexander said:  "The Honours List is not about the biggest names or the hottest acts that will be forgotten within a year. It is about artists that have stayed or will stay the course."
