Snow Patrol have been forced to cancel three shows on their current US tour after front man Gary Lightbody was found to have two polypoid lesions on his vocal chords.
The band were forced to postpone their gigs in Atlanta last night, Washington DC tonight and Boston tomorrow.
They are attempting to reschedule the shows for the end of the tour but failing that will play them in August when they return to the US.
Speaking on the bands official website Lightbody wrote: āIām terribly sorry about all this. I of course appreciate all your kind words over the last few days but I also know that is must be frustrating for all you guys with tickets.ā
He due to see a specialist today to see if he ready to perform again at the bands scheduled show in New York on Saturday.
All tickets for the postponed gigs will be valid for any rescheduled dates.
