Gigwise has been informed that the split of Liverpool based five piece The Open may not have been as amicable as they have made out.
They announced the split over the weekend saying they had “no excuses” and “no regrets” about their career which bought the world two albums.
However, a source close to the band tells a very different story of the split involving band fights and members being left in France.
The band were recently touring across the channel and our source tells us that things came to a head during the jaunt.
It resulted in a bust up that involved several of the quintet being pulled off each other and then one unnamed member being left behind in the country on his own as the others returned home.
Tonight Matthew (or Davina) we will be... the Daily Star!
