Former Suede singer Brett Anderson plans to release his debut solo album in January.
Anderson recorded the LP whilst working on The Tears’ album – which saw him reunite with Suede guitarist Bernard Butler, and was released to limited response last year.
Despite being currently unattached to any record label, Anderson is hopeful for the record.
He tells the NME, “Its quite orchestrated, lots of string lutes, that sort of thing. I guess there's a Scott Walker feel to it. I'm very proud of it; it's a very exciting record for me."
“I've played more than I ever have before. I've played a lot of electric guitar on it. I've written a lot of the electric guitar parts. It's my baby and I've obviously been pretty obsessed with it."
Anderson has decided to give the album his own name, helpfully explaining, “Because that's my name, you see."
