Dark Man No More, DMX Changes His Name

US rapper DMX has revealed that he is set to change is stage name for “spiritual reasons”.

The hip hop star says that he is ready to ditch the Dark Man X moniker as he explores his religious learning’s but hasn’t come up with the perfect name yet.

He told MTV: "I think I'm going to have to do that soon for spiritual reasons. It's just the whole Dark Man thing.”

"Because if you look at it, from a spiritual point of view, the Bible teaches us that we can speak things into existence. ... And Dark Man, you know, it may not be the best name for me."

DMX’s new album ‘Year Of The Dog’ is penned in for an August release with a new single ‘Lord Give Me A Sign’ set to precede it.
