The Subways have been forced to cancel more shows after front man Billy Lunn was order to further rest his vocal chords.
As previously reported on Gigwise the trio were forced to cancel a number of dates in April and May after Lunn was diagnosed with nodules on his vocal chords.
The band have now cancelled their shows for June in Loughborough, Swansea and Bournemouth plus their appearance at this year’s Rock AM Ring in Germany.
In a statement The Subways management said: The band are hugely frustrated by this continued break in touring which has become their whole life over the past 4 years.”
“Billy is doing everything the doctor has advised and more in an effort to cure his condition as quickly as possible. The have spent much of the time rehearsing new material (without vocals) and recording demos.”
They added that they expect Lunn to make a full recovery and will know more about when he can resume touring after a further doctor’s appointment in June.
