MIA has had ditch plans to record her new album in America with hotshot producer Timbaland after US refused her entry into the country.
The reasons for the refusal are unknown, but in a posting on her Myspace.com page, MIA says she has had to go to another undisclosed location because of the customs trouble.
She writes, “the U.S immigration wont let me in!!!!! i was mennu work with timber startin this week… im locked out! they wont let me in! Now Im strictly making my album outside the borders!!!! so il see you all one day, for now ill keep reportin from the sidelines.”
MIA’s debut album Arular was a critical success, and scored her a new American deal with Interscope records.
