Thousand Turn Up For Grant McLennan's Funeral

Over a thousand mourners turned up for the funeral of Go-Betweens frontman Grant McLennan earlier today (May 12).

McLennan’s family held a public funeral service at 1.30pm at St John’s Cathedral, Ann Street, Brisbane.

Amongst the mourners present were The Go Betweens’ co-founder Robert Forster and members of cult group Powderfinger.

McLennan was just 48 when he died at home in his sleep of a heart attack last Saturday.
