    Sigur Ros To Play Massive Homecoming Show

    Sigur Ros are set to play a massive outdoor homecoming show in Iceland this summer.

    The concert will be in front of 90,000 fans in their native Reykjavik at the end of July. No more details have yet emerged.

    Meanhwile, Sigur Ros are currently riding high in the singles chart with ‘Hoppipolla’, climbing from number 26 to a midweek position of 22.

    They have also confirmed that their new single the ‘Saeglopur EP’ will hit the shelves on July 3.

    • 90,000 actually sounds like a lot on its own... but if you consider that Icelanders only number 300.000 the number becomes quite gargantuan. It would be the equivalent of approx. 85 million Americans at one concert. Basically, we’re talking about more than half the population old enough to go and young enough to give a damn.
