Fell City Girl claim to be a mixture of Sigur Ros and Muse, quite a grand claim if ever we heard one. In all honesty ‘Swim’ sounds nothing like either of those bands; however it is still a pretty assault on your senses. Guitars chime and Phil McMinns vocals soar, overall the track is romantically intergalactic. B-Sides ‘ Send In The Angels’ and ‘There Are Statues I’m Told’ carry on the epic fragility of the A-Side. Fell City Girl might not fit into 2006’s musical landscape but it's well worth checking them out.
