Snow Patrol Top The Album Chart

Snow Patrol have stormed to the top of the album chart with their new long-player ‘Eyes Open.’

The indie stalwarts knocked off Gnarls Barkley’s ‘St Elsewhere’ from the top spot – who are enjoying their sixth week at number one in the singles chart with ‘Crazy.’

Other new entries in the album chart were Tool with ‘10,000 Days’ at four and Pearl Jam’s eponymous album at five.

Elsewhere in the singles Red Hot Chili Peppers climbed to two with ‘Dani California’ and The Raconteurs and Dirty Pretty Things both stayed in the top ten for a second week.

Further down We Are Scientists’ ‘Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt’ charted at 21 and Sigur Ros’ ‘Hoppipolla’ re-entered at 24.
