Zero 7

London based electronica band Zero 7 have proved that they’re top of their game by bagging themselves a gold disc for their debut album and having three critically acclaimed albums under their belt. Their unique mix of downbeat, soulful, ambient, trip-hop has been compared to the likes of Air and can satisfy even the most fickle of listeners.

The musical duo, producers, Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker,  began their music careers in the 1990’s, working alongside musicians including Young Disciplines, Pet Shop Boys and Robert Plant, before getting their brake when they remixed Radiohead’s ‘Climbing Up the Walls’, appearing as a B-side on the single ‘Karma Police.’

More remixes soon followed with the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Terry Callier, Sneakerpimps and Lambchop, before they released two EPs, followed by their first album, the elegant and soulful ‘Simple Things’ in 2001. The debut featured collaborations with Mozez, Sia Furler and Sophie Barker and went gold, proving that their musical fusion was reaching the masses. The same vocalists returned to feature on 2004’s sophisticated ‘When It Falls’, with the addition of Tina Dico and third album, ‘The Garden’ released May 2006 includes returning vocalist Sia Furler, as well as Jose Gonzalez.
