Quentin Tarantino has laughed off reports he has been signed up to direct the Jimi Hendrix bio-pic.
Despite several reports the Pulp Fiction filmmaker would helm the long-mooted project, a friend of Tarantino’s denied the stories on the Ain’t It Cool website.
Their statement reads, “When Quentin came over to chat tonight I asked him if he'd heard the rumors about his next film project after he finishes Grindhouse.
"When I said he was rumoured to be making the Purple Haze of biopics, he just began shaking his head (saying), 'Complete fabrication. There's not even an iota of truth to it.'"
