Ex-Beta Band man Steve Mason has cancelled his upcoming UK tour with King Biscuit Time amid rumours he is quitting music.
Despite the fact that the bands debut album ‘Black Gold’ isn’t due out till May 15 it looks like it could be all over.
A spokesman for KBT’s label said: "Messages posted online by Steve Mason would appear to indicate he's called a halt to his project King Biscuit Time.”
“Mason posted the following message to his fans - 'Peace to you all. I'm out of here. It's been amazing but I've had enough. The mountain beat me and sadly you too. That don't mean you should give up. It just wasn't me. Over and out, Steve.'"
The album is still set to be released though there are no plans to reschedule the shows, refunds for tickets are available from the points of purchase.
The cancelled dates are:
Belfast, Spring & Airbrake – May 12

Edinburgh, Venue - 17
London, Scala - 18
