The Smashing Pumpkins have released an official statement saying they are currently writing songs for their new album.
The band are planning to record the tracks in the summer, but have no agenda of a release date yet.
They said: “It’s official. The Smashing Pumpkins are currently writing songs for their upcoming album, their first since 2000.
“No release date has yet been set, but the band plans to begin recording this summer.”
