The Vines are set to return to live duties according to drummer Hamish Rosser with a tour possible if all goes well.
Rosser says the band are planning a gig in Sydney and some TV appearances and if it works out they may move onto bigger things.
He told The Drum Media: “If it works well and sounds good and everyone’s happy then we'll think about taking it overseas, but there’s no point in booking a four month overseas tour right now if it will just kill us then."
Rosser says that front man Craig Nichols is “in a much better state of mind now than he ever was before when he was touring, so there’s always a chance.”
However, the band won’t contemplate touring if it looks like taking them back down the trail that lead to their now infamous Annandale gig.
Rosser added: “We just don’t want to commit to anything that’s going to put us all back to where we were, like you said two years ago after the Annandale show. We don’t want a repeat of that."
