American singer/songwriter Gene Pitney is set to be buried in his home town of Somers, Connecticut on Wednesday following his death in Cardiff last week.
Pintey, 65, died of natural causes in his hotel room shortly after performing his latest gig on his UK tour.
His body was released last Thursday after a post-mortem deemed there were no suspicious circumstances to his death and flown back to the US on Saturday.
He will be buried at the Somers Centre Cemetery after a service at All Saints Church close by.
Pitney’s promoter Mark Howes told the BBC: "His family have taken the news as can be expected. They felt awful that he was so far away when it happened but they are glad that he is home now."
His family have asked for all donations to be to Connecticut Public Broadcasting Company and the Humane Society of the US.
