Embrace front man Danny McNamara has revealed that the bands new album was inspired by him given the brush off by a girl.
The bands latest long player ‘This New Day’, currently riding high in the charts, is says McNamara an account of how he got over the rejection.
He told the BBC: "The lyrics are all pretty much, with the exception of one song about a meeting I had with this girl that just blew me away and how I survived the aftermath as she wasn't interested, so it's all pretty much about that."
McNamara laid on the cheese even thicker by adding that the album’s title signified a new dawn for the Yorkshire band.
"The title of the album is so appropriate it's almost crass. It just does feel like a completely fresh start and like we're a completely new band and I think I want to get into a momentum where we're releasing an album a year now."
