Rap mogul Marion ‘Suge’ Knight has filed for bankruptcy in a bid to save his label Death Row Records.
The industry giant has been ordered to pay a whopping $100million to his former associate Lynda Harris who claimed she had a part in setting up the label in 1989.
Apparently, Suge Knight now claims that he doesn’t have the money to pay Harris so filed for bankruptcy.
After failing to show for a court case at the weekend, Death Row Records was in danger of going into receivership, but now Knight has tried to avoid this by saying he’s bankrupt.
Lynda Harris’ money is also under contest by her ex-husband Michael Harris who says he gave her $1.5million towards setting up the label.
Since then Suge’s assets have been frozen while the three parties fought their corner.
