Since its conception in 1993 the Sziget Festival in Hungary has seen a constant rise in its festival goers, with visitors from all over the world flocking to take in its ‘Town within a town’ atmosphere and major acts such as Foo Fighters, The Cure, Iggy Pop, Nightwish, Basement Jaxx, Kool and the Gang, Placebo, Rammstein, Green Day and The Prodigy have graced the festival’s 15 stages over the years. The Sziget festival holds no musical boundaries as all facets of music are covered, so there is no chance of anyone getting bored. With last year’s total festival goers topping well over 300,000 it is the biggest festival in Hungary.
Completely universally accessible, sympathetic to parents with kids as there is a free child supervision tent with programs for the little tykes, free internet access and mini tesco’s dotted around the place, bars, restaurants and a second to none medical team will make anyone feel comfortable.
