The diminutive pop star shifted 183,000 in a week and was his first ever album to debut at number 1 stateside.
Previous Prince number one albums were the ‘Batman’ soundtrack in 1989, ‘Around the World in a Day’ in 1985 and his classic ‘Purple Rain’ a year earlier.
