Embrace have become hot favourites to record England’s official World Cup song.
The resurgent band – whose new song Nature’s Law could give them their debut number one single later today – have seen their odds tumble, with one bookmaker suspending betting after they were cut from 40/1 outsiders to 5/1 favourites.
Both the Arctic Monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs have recently turned down the opportunity to record a song for England.
