Liverpool’s Summer Pops festival is living up to its name by adding a host of top pop acts to the bill.
Top Irish crooners Westlife and the ever-mutating Sugababes will join artists including The Who, Bryan Adams, Ronan Keating, James Brown and Whitesnake at the July event, whilst Simply Red have added a second show after their first date sold out.
Both Westlife and Sugababes are particularly looking forward to returning to the festival after triumphant performances in the past.
Westlife’s Mark Feehily says, "We can't wait to return to Liverpool where the crowd was up for it big time last time."
Local girl, Sugababe Heidi Range adds, “Playing Liverpool is always special to me, and the reception we got here last time was fantastic."
