Johnny Rotten: 'Green Day Are Silly Fat Kids'

Ex Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten has launched a fresh trade against Green Day.

The singer believes that Green Day wouldn’t have had a leg to stand on in the punk heyday and that they have since nicked punk’s ideas.

He blathered: “They’re sticky tape on a duck’s arse. They wouldn’t have survived it. We had to earn our wings.

“We made it easy for them to come in and nick things from us. Silly fat kids.

“It was hard times we went through for them to come and pinch our ideas.”

    • I think Johnny Rotten may be showing some form of jealousy over the band, His career in the music industry is over but he still wants his band to be seen as the main punk band, but he is scared Green Day will steal that title. Johnny Rotten needs to grow up, Wasn’t he one of the idols people looked up to? His attitude is the complete opposite to the attitude his band (sex pistols) had. He is showing his band and himself up. Lewis Cornwell, www.greendayonline.com

Green Day’s Album Warning is one of the best albums ever made. Go listen to London Calling, the greatast album of all time and tell me what makes that punk. There is no such thing as punk. Green Day did not make American Idiot to make money, they made it for ****in plessure you idiots.
