The Cars are set to announce that they are reforming later today (March 14).
Industry rumours have been rife for months that the band will get it together, and apparently they’re setting up a press conference in LA today to confirm the talk.
The band will have Todd Rundgren as their frontman with original group members Elliot Easton and Greg Hawkes also part of the plans.
The band will be without Ben Orr who died of cancer five years ago and Rick Ocasek who has refused to be part of plans.
Meanwhile, rumours are rife that Genesis are set to announce their plans to reform also today.
