The Presets

The Presets are an Australian two-piece who met around 10 years ago at Sydney University, forming part of the instrumental group Prop. Three years ago they decided to form The Presets and created their uniquebrand of sleazily camp electronica and angular indie.

Described as ‘the official class odd bods’ The Presets are more like the sinister kids blowing things up in science class than timid chess club members. They received critical praise for their debut Blow Up EP in 2003, before signing to home of Wolfmother and Cut Copy, Modular in 2004. The duo released single Girl and the Sea, following this up with support slots for The Faint, Colder and label mates Wolfmother. They claim their style came from a need to fill in the gaps left by other dance DJs as they always felt something was missing in their live performances and want their fans to be able to dance around and have fun.

The Presets are set to release their debut album ‘Beams’ in the UK in summer 2006 and unleash their crazy party vibes on the world.
