Two stewards were shot during a Kanye West gig at the Birmingham NEC last night (February 28).
The incident apparently took place when people who didn’t have tickets for the event were taken from the premises. Several shots were thought to be fired.
The incident happened shortly after 10pm and a man and a woman have already been arrested.
One steward is still in hospital in a serious but not life threatening condition while the other was discharged with much minor injuries.
The huge concert was the final night of Kanye’s Touch The Sky UK tour.
A police spokesman said: "This incident involved individuals who had been ejected from the venue for attempting to try to gain entrance to a pop concert without tickets.
"Firearms were discharged and two stewards were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."
As the BBC reports, Detective Inspector Ian Grant said: "At this early stage the motive for the shooting remains unclear but there appears to have been some sort of dispute about gaining entry to the concert."
