Chico - ‘It’s Chico Time’ (Sony BMG) Released 27/02/06

Chico had this catchphrase suspiciously early on in the X factor proceedings. From the start really. Which begs the question what type of person goes about their everyday life with their own catchphrase?  And who speaks about themselves in the third person in the first place?  Its like Pete Andre and ‘Insania’ all over again.  And look where that led (more Peter Andre.)  'It's Chico Time' sounds as if the comic sidekick from a Disney film has come alive and is doing a song in the style of Tom Jones, with a cold. But for what it is – pop for kids and lovers of cheese its perfectly fine and all done in the spirit of good fun at the end of the day.
