Guitarist and backing vocalist Lee Irons has parted company with The Departure due to ‘artistic differences’ the band have confirmed.
Irons, a member since the bands conception, announced the news on the bands official forum.
A statement from The Departure reads: “Lee's contribution to The Departure has been great and we will miss him dearly, he is still a dear friend and the decision was strictly a professional one....we wish Lee all the best of luck for the future.”
It added: “Further more....The Departure are still hard at writing what is turning out to be a great second album! Which we hope you will all hear very soon. As ever, thank you for your continued support....see you very soon.”
