Alex Turner has revealed details of a new Arctic Monkeys song about his ex-girlfriend.
Do Me A Favour is described as the “further adventures” of the girl who has already featured in one song on the band’s smash-hit debut album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not.
Turner told the icwales website, “I played it to a friend and he's really gone for it. It's the further adventures of the girl in Mardy Bum - my ex."
The band have also completed filming of two short films loosely based on the lyrics of their number one single When The Sun Goes Down.
Scummy Man and Just Another Day, fourteen and eight minutes long respectively, were shot before Christmas and tell the story of a prostitute from their native Sheffield from two differing perspectives.
