Hard-Fi are planning on covering up their disappointment at not being invited to play the Brits Awards by getting legless at the ceremony - and fighting The Gorillaz.
The Staines four-piece have scored nominations in the Best British Band and Best Rock categories following the surprise success of their debut album Stars Of CCTV.
But Hard-Fi have not been invited as one of the acts playing at the awards bash in London on Wednesday, so singer Richard Archer has vowed his band will make their own entertainment – like picking a drunken fight with some cartoons.
He tells the Daily Star, “We will get very drunk I can guarantee that. We’ll win the Most Drunk Please Leave Now award.
“We’re not going to win but it would be hilarious if we had to go on stage after a few pints of Stella. It would be a rant. A ‘Lets have it, come on, I’ll take you all on.’
“I’d take the whole room on. Even Gorillaz. But my manager’s pointed out it would be slightly embarrassing to get beaten up by a cartoon.”
